Todd Keyser is an abstract painter and an arts writer. Todd’s paintings have always been deeply connected to the sense of not belonging anywhere specifically that is a place, but wanting to construct a specific place - one that is usually metropolitan in feeling, the memory of an interior or exterior structure or space. It’s paradoxical that the work is specific, yet the subjective experience of its making or creation is one that is rooted in a very flexible and expansive recall of objects, spaces, places – an amalgamation of experiences.
