MIA TARDUCCI
Mia was raised in Newport, RI and currently lives in Pittsburgh, PA. She studied art history at the University of Siena, Italy and minored in an art concentration at Georgetown University where she received her BSL in 1997. A decade later Mia began pursuing a career as an oil painter.
Since showing her work publicly in 2009, she has had solo exhibitions each year and has been dozens of group exhibitions. Her work has been selected by notable jurors from the MoMA, Guggenheim, Brooklyn Museum, MoCA Cleveland, Carnegie Museum of Art, Andy Warhol Museums and Mattress Factory for exhibitions which include both museum and gallery settings in Pittsburgh, Dallas, Ohio, and New York City.
Tarducci has received multiple awards from juror’s including “best oil” for her piece “Revival” in Brooklyn, NY. In 2014 she was honored with Pittsburgh Center for the Arts prestigious “Emerging Artist of the Year”. She was selected as the 2015 recipient of the Kiski School’s “Will’s Gift” an award given to an artist living and working in Pittsburgh.
Her work is in important private and corporate collections throughout the US and abroad, and has been featured in New American Paintings Edition 110, Studio Visit Magazine, American Art Collector, Shady Ave, Whirl, Newport Naked, and Fox Chapel Living magazines.
