Franzen-Sheehan's artwork examines humanity’s enduring relationship with risk, warning, and conscience, reframing “Fair Warning” as both caution and beauty. Drawing on imagery from the 1600s to the present, the pieces layer altered historical sources with personal and domestic materials. Through stitching, raw edges, and reclaimed textiles, the work places traditionally gendered labor within male-dominated art historical forms, raising questions of power, inheritance, and domestic space.
